Hello potential Paid Search Marketing Manager.
We're Over The Top Marketing ( or OTT for short), and it's great to meet you!

We are looking for an incredible person to lead our paid search efforts. This new and exciting role empowers you to go deep in the weeds, formulate strategic initiatives and mentor our junior-level search team members. You will join our small but mighty team of 6 and report directly to our awesome Sr. Director of Performance. You will have additional support from our Development and Creative team.

Must be able to commute to Irvine, CA a few times a month.


About the role

Our Paid Search Manager will be responsible for building and leading a team of paid search strategists and specialists. As the senior-most point-of-contact for paid search for all of our clients, this role will drive day-to-day operations through thought leadership, strategy development, execution, management, and analysis of paid search initiatives. This role reports to our Sr. Director of Performance.

What you will do

  • Manage and train paid search team members responsible for campaign setup and daily campaign management.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives for search campaigns including but not limited to forecasts, testing, optimization, and analysis.
  • Translate desired overarching business outcomes to specific search executions for tactical teams to put in motion.
  • Daily use of reporting, analytics, and trend tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Google Ads, Domo, and proprietary systems.
  • Work closely with other internal departments such as Tech, Creative, and Accounts to develop fully-integrated search campaigns.
  • Manage client communication regarding performance, media recommendation, tag implementation and project updates.
  • Lead and present performance reports, including quarterly business reviews and monthly reviews.
  • Create multiple manual and automated task processes to ensure the team quickly delivers effective and consistent results.
  • Develops testing protocols for team implementation with measurable outcomes and key action steps.
  • Create and manage paid search project tasks and timelines.


Minimum qualifications:

  • 3 years managing monthly search budgets of $50K+
  • 5 years of experience managing large paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Bing, including exposure to search management platforms such as Search Ads 360, Kenshoo, etc.
  • 5 years of management experience mentoring and training junior-level team members
  • Excellent soft skills in communication. (Meaning co-workers and clients look forward to working with you)
  • Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret large quantities of data
  • Understands campaign objectives/strategy and able to present insight in reports to clients as well as field/anticipate questions
  • Has a progressive understanding of the interrelationship between paid search and other digital channels
  • Experience with tag management systems, data management platforms, and/or web analytics systems

Preferred qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of Google stack including Search Console, Analytics, Tag Manager, Optimize, Data Studio.
  • Significant Microsoft Excel skill with an understanding of pivot tables and vlookups
  • Must be able to draw actionable insights from data and make specific recommendations while being adept to change in market dynamics.
  • Ability to translate and articulate strategy and tell stories with data.
